EPR packaging – Packaging for Radiopharmaceuticals – stands out from previously used containers due to its inviolability, reduced contamination risks, greater safety and agility in handling and transportation, guaranteeing quality, in accordance with the standards and specifications required by the market and regulatory bodies.
About EPR
Structure designed to guarantee versatility: a single piece accommodates lead shielding in up to three different sizes (S, M and L). The configuration also had a positive impact on the production process, reducing inventories by 80%, increasing productivity by 70% and eliminating waste. By reducing operations, EPR® contributes significantly to containing contamination by radioactive material in the areas where the packaging circulates.
Composed of a lid, core and body, made of high-performance plastic, the EPR was developed with a screw closure system, in any direction. Mechanism that allows you to check whether the product has been tampered with with a simple visual check.
Another safety feature is the double wall of the EPR®, making it more flexible. In the event of a fall or severe impact, it prevents damage to the packaging and, consequently, guarantees the protection of the medicines.
Quality testing and certifications
The EPR was tested, approved and certified by the Nuclear Technology Development Center (CDTN), according to the CNEN-NE.01 standard (Transport of Radioactive Materials), in addition to being a patented product.
